a day with the nieces & my momma!

this past week my sister and her hubby traveled to south carolina on a little vacay.

my nieces, whitney and brooklyn, stayed with nana and when i went to visit, 

we took a fun trip to the maine wildlife reservation 

(formerly known as - and what i call it - as the Gray Animal Farm!)

we later found out that they were so noisy and showing their feathers because they had laid eggs under a nearby tree!

never EVER have i seen an ALBINO peacock... i don't even know if that's what they're called. but this was so pretty!

they were squawking up a storm. Whitney hated the noise so her ears were plugged the whole time.
Roo was imitating them. haha :)

the girls were all tuckered out after a long day of walking/running/exploring... they were OUT on the car ride home!

Whitney had so much fun she wanted to hold the map and was recounting what we saw and didn't see
(some exhibits were closed).
She fell asleep while looking at it... had to get a shot of that. :) 

tried to get a picture of Roo sleeping but she opened her eyes right as I turned to take it... still adorable!

when we were on our way out of the park, my mom asked Whitney what her favorite thing was.

she got a HUGE grin on her face and skipped up to me, grabbed my hand and said,

"That Auntie Bon came wif us!!!
