hilarious... and equally adorable :)

i would love to have been doing one of those "lasts" surveys a little while ago... and been able to answer the question "last text i received"... but since i am not doing one of those, i will just dedicate a post to the fact that the last text i received from the future husby... and it reads:

"Good morning babesicle!"

and that, my friends, is why i love him.

this is pretty much how every conversation goes between henry and i

when we're talking about something trivial or unimportant and he is so

smart and logical and rational and everything that i am not, and i completely

know that he is probably right. hahahaha...

oh i love him for loving me even in my brattiest moments!

tired is an understatement!

this morning was rough.
i mean...usual 5am wake up call...
 hit the snooze button twenty times, turn the alarm off,
phone alarm goes off telling me i'm REAL late...
turn that one off too...
realize that it's 6:35am and i really need to get up...
my ride leaves at 6:45am ewwww.
these are all things i would like to pretend didn't happen today... but alas. they did.
brushed my teeth, threw my hair in an awful bun, washed my face, threw on a dress
(at least my dress is cute?)

this job is getting annoying... has overstayed it's welcome with my lack of car and having to get here 3 hours early when i could be sleeping.

i feel the makings of a bad day comin' on.

rahhh. no good. pray for things to turn around!

when i was younger, my dad LOVED the barenaked ladies... i mean. LOVED. 

we used to listen to the Gordon album on repeat, blasting, every single night. i kid you not.

life with my dad was never dull :) (uhm because he's AWESOME!)

one of our favorites on the cd was "if i had a million dollars"... and that is the premise of this saturday post...

if i had a million dollars - i would add these things to my wardrobe. time now.

1. this dress & adorable shoes.

3. this gorgeous little number. i love the colors & silhouette SO much!
4. killer color... and you can never go wrong with polka dots :)

6. white skinny jeans  (tried some on at target this week.. they didn't fit so well...)

60 years ago...

this morning, as i boarded the train to Boston, watching all the people (myself included) pass over tons and tons of "open" seats (these open seats, of course, have someone sitting in the window seat, with a perfectly old, ripped, uncomfortable train seat spot, right next to them... and heaven forbid i actually sit next to someone i don't know... nope. uh-uh NO WAY!) instead, i walk down three cars to find the perfect prize seating... another perfectly old, ripped, uncomfortable, BUT gloriously stranger-free public transportation seat! and it only took me three stops to find it! then i thought to myself...

soooooo.... i guess things haven't changed much? haha :)

i wonder what this situation looked like 60 years ago...

when people weren't afraid to sit next to a stranger.

and since we're on the subject of audrey hepburn... err... trains.... here's a photo of one of my favorite ladies waiting for a train all classy and stuff! seriously though. i like to think this is how i look when traveling... but it's probably more like yoga pants, tank top/sweatshirt, hair in a ponytail and a yoga sweat band holding my flyaways back... i mean. that's similar to classy long coat and beautiful hat with black pumps and a killer suitcase... right? i think so too!

and now to begin my dreaded work day!

been wantin to change things up a bit... especially since i've been SLACKIN on blog posts lately... but, come on, i'm planning a wedding, working full time plus starting my Mary Kay business back up again, and do not own a car at this point... so my life is pretty busy! hope you like the changes! stay tuned for more! :)

my forever valentine surprise!

today i woke up with no expectation of getting a valentine's day present... 

not because i didn't think Hen would get me one - but because i already received what i THOUGHT was it! (well... he told me it was my present, and that it just came a little early) 

they were a pair of AWESOME crushed velvet skinny jeans in a chocolate brown color from Ruche 

(my favorite online store!)

BUT THEN. the UPS man came at about 3pm...

 bearing two dozen beautiful red roses. from my forever valentine :) 

i'll have to take a photo of them all arranged in their vase... 

maybe tomorrow morning with the sun shining just right on them :)

i am off to spend my valentine's evening with my other two favorite men... Ben & Jerry.

i will probably watch the latest episode of the bachelor, 

and patiently await my almost husby's skype call :)
